...team building, vision setting, behaviour changes, idea generation...
The Vodafone marketing team was a large and diverse group that had many new joiners. There were issues with their agencies and how they worked with them. All around everyone was stressed.
We ran a 1-day session for them (which was Consumer and B2B Marketing and their key agencies: Advertising, Digital, DM, Media and Promotional). The workshop looked at how they were feeling as a team (all pretty similar), some new ways of working, behaving and interacting with each other and to look at what the vision for the future and objectives should be going forward. With 40 people we got to a team vision and set of values that they all wanted to abide by as a team. We got to the objectives, and the team and personal commitments they wanted to achieve in the next few months, and how they wanted to relate to each other as a team.
JWT was at the end of its 'honeymoon' period after winning the pitch to be Nokia's network agency. The session was with the triumvirate of Nokia, JWT and Mediacom. They needed to move from 'flirting to going steady' so we ran a workshop that led the team to walk out with a renewed sense of energy, a new perspective on approaching the job and a deeper sense of commitment within the broader team. The primary objective was achieved of getting inspiration for bringing the brand to life in local markets with new techniques for idea generation working on their 'real stuff'. The team came out having bonded in a way that was fun, engaging and rewarding.
Eptica is a small software company. For the first time the CEO felt that he had his full management team in place. He wanted to run a vision session for 2013 about the company.
This was a diverse group of people. It ranged from the HR and Legal person, to Sales, Marketing and Technical. Whilst interested, a few were sceptical about what this was about. The approach taken was for the team to create a vivid picture of what the future looked like using various techniques, and then to work back as to what implications this had on 2012 and to today for the business overall and each of the business areas. The team came out clear on what they wanted to do and the implications of doing that.
